Coaching is more than teaching a swing.

This ideal encapsulates how we feel about coaching; that it is more than the flick of a wrist or a swing of the racket. We pride ourselves as an academy that takes into consideration every individual learner's unique personality dispositions and how that affects the way they approach the game.

MTAS Racket Reviews

Every badminton racket is different. There are multiple brands to choose from, and they each have their own models. Then there is racket types, ranging from head-light, balanced, and head-heavy. How do you know which racket is the right one for you?

At MTAS, we’ve gone through dozens of rackets through the years, and we developed the MTAS™ Scale. Instead of telling you how a racket “feels” like, we use a data-backed approach - making assertions about what a racket is and is not and removing any subjective bias.

The MTAS Difference

  • Big impact, small changes

Whether you are getting ready to compete, sharpening your game, or just looking for a good physical workout, every training session is personalised to your goals. We make sure that the programme suits your needs and at a pace that works for you.

  • Your growth, our priority.

At MTAS, we’re obsessed when it comes to growth, and yours is why we wake up and do what we do. We make sure that at every step of the way, you are in a better position than you were yesterday.

  • Learn values, not behaviours

We often mistake behaviours for values. If we want to learn resilience, we’re often taught to not give up. But resilience is more than that! It is also about asking for help and building resources. Different learners tag different meanings to what resilience means to them. MTAS believes in values coaching, and utilise frameworks backed by research to elevate your learning experience.

The MTAS Method.

How you show up in the court is often how you show up in other areas of your life. At More Than A Swing, we study each learner’s disposition and how it influences the way you approach your game. The 4 dispositions - Warrior, King/Queen, Jester, and Lover gives us a snapshot into your unique inclinations on the court, so that you understand yourself better, develop greater range, and dominate your game.
